‘Victory India Campaign’ seeks internal audit of the functioning of military leadership with a view to make suggestions to introduce new methodology and training procedures to suit the emergent forms of war. It is directed at the breeding centres, like NDA, for producing modern military leaders to ensure that young leaders were not square pegs in round holes. Five volumes have identified the problem areas and recommended adjustments to be made in grooming young leadership. It is not condemnation of army leadership but a self-correcting mechanism. The contributing authors have identified that military leadership training in the academies was outdated and outmoded for present day socio-military environments.
